50 Book Challenge

Photograph by Lightning Seed.

I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, and I never made reading enough of a habit to believe that I could read 50 books in one year. However, I figured it was time for a challenge. I've read it - this is mostly so that the unfinished ones will look naked and guilt me into finishing them!

If you read, what books have you enjoyed recently? What books are your favourites? What do you recommend?

What have you done to challenge yourself this year?

'The Shadow of the Wind' is a great one by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. On my last trip to europe my boyfriend and I read the entire time, going through a book every two days or so. It was wonderful. I am trying to work my way through classics - over the summer I read The Catcher in The Rye, Jane Eyre, Animal Farm.. can't remember what else actually. If you can find a copy of it, Oleg Cassini's biography "In My Fashion" is hilarious.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you do find a good book off my list - some of them are Australian, so if you can't find them, that'll be why :) There are some on that list of yours that I'd like to look up!

Ali - Thanks for the recommendation! I've reserved it at my library. Can't wait.

David - Haha I wish! It's a bookstore, there's a link to the original underneath.

Shells - Thanks for the heads up, and thanks for stopping by! I think I'm going to buy the Paul Coelho one you suggested soon.
