Blog Every Day April: The Return

I can’t believe it has been a full year! As I’m sure you won’t know, BEDA stands for Blog Every Day April. The project was conceived by Young Adult author and general internet funnywoman Maureen Johnson. After announcing her plans over Twitter and the Maureen Johnson Ning, it became something of a collaborative Nerdfighter blogging project.

To keep us motivated, Maureen hooked up the willing with blogging partners, or BEDA Buddies, in sets of four. I was grouped in with a lovely bunch: Becky, Christina, and Autumn, and we’ve remained e-buddies ever since. My unofficial BEDA buddy Ana Lórena (best known as Ló) is also taking part again this year. We decided to carry on the tradition by ourselves, and I’m sure many other groups of BEDA buddies who have stuck together will also have done so. Maybe we’ll find them throughout the course of the month!

The idea is (as if you hadn’t guessed already!) to blog every day for the entire month of April. It’s no easy feat, and last year I only managed 23 out of 30 days, due to food poisoning and a few lost days. Having BEDA buddies makes the whole process easier and more fun, and this year we're going into it with an arsenal of ideas.

So there you have it! My posts will most likely be shared between this blog and my film blog, Uncultured Critic, which I will link to when I publish BEDA posts.

If you have any questions, ideas, or - best of all - want to join us!; leave a comment and let us know!

‘Til next time,
Nicola x

The Girl - aww no, that's what BEDA is all about! Setting yourself up for failure then being stubborn and sickly positive til it's over :) You should do it with us, lady!

Curious - Thanks! I love that you always take the time to comment after my egregious absences, so thank you :)

I'd love to give this a whirl, Nic. I've wanted to venture into blogging for a while but I've always put it off...maybe this will be my way in on a more permentant basis?! Liz

Nicola, I would love to give this a whirl (albeit I'm a bit late...) I've wanted to get into blogging for a while but never felt gutsy enough to do it. I'd also love to make more e-friends. Opportunity, non? Liz
