Hello, world!
The past few weeks have been a blur of blankets, coffee, shoes, purples and indigos, interviews, lists, furniture, shivering, Misfits, organising, re-organising, worrying, caring, not caring, skyping, typing, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, staring, Tumbling, quoting, cups of tea, reminiscence, planning, trying, failing, trying again, and--finally-- feeling like I'm just about getting there.
Some recommendations until I make it over the blogging hump:
- Re-watch your favourite films. My goodness, this put me in a good mood. For the record they are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Almost Famous. More to come in the next week, if I can find the time.
- Buy something you really, really want. Seriously, just do it. Why not? My new reading chair is the best "eff it!" decision I've made in months.
- Watch this.
- Pay Ms. Von a visit over at Yes and Yes.
- Read some short stories. (I recommend Miranda July's No one belongs here more than you.)
- Give me some feedback, please! I've had a bit of a dry spell lately, but I'm back on track and have lots to write about. I'd love to know what you like to see around here, and what you'd like to see more posts about. I value your feedback.
Salut!

Wow, that YouTube video was beautiful! I can't begin to imagine the work they must have put into that. Glad to see you back.
I'm not sure of ideas for the blog, but I totally understand the desire to break the string of TILTs. I had the same desire when my friend starting posting again. Right now he's working his way through his top 10 movies of the decade. Not sure if that helps you, but whatever you decide I'll be here to read it :)
Very clever book video - 4th Estate did a similiar thing to promote their range of books last year for their 25th anniversary. I often wonder how they do that. Like the photo above too - did you take it? Are you back in the US now? Your chair sounds lush...I want one of those chairs that are a big circle that you sit in - I can't recall what they are called - do you know what I mean? xxx
Misfits you say? I love the Misfits!
I also love that video you posted. It was very creative. I loved the walking letters at the end.
What a pretty video - so clever.
I would personally like to see a picture of this here reading chair!!
I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind of the other day - forgotten what an amazing film it is. And Jim Carrey isn't annoying once in it!
I don't have that many suggestions to make - just blog about what you feel like!!
Becky - that's a cool idea! I seem to start series and then bore of them as soon as I've run out of ideas, haha.
Curious Cat - I'm still in Scotland, no visits back to the US planned as yet! I think you mean a papasan, they're like a massive cushion and a circular wire or wooden base. I tried to buy one actually, but they're quite expensive!
Jackie - It's amazing, isn't it? Misfits is the best new show in ages, I love it. A bit awkward though as I watch it with my parents!
The Girl - May well do that, then! =) I'm trying to find the best position in my room for it. I think Eternal Sunshine is like the closest to perfect film ever, I love it!
